The inspiration for the headboard of this bed frame came from looking at the Japanese torii gates. Following the theme of Japanese craftsmanship, the body of the bed is assembled using a castle joint. This allows for both an incredibly strong joint and no hardware needed to assemble the bed frame. The body of this frame is made from jatoba, with maple and ebonized ash accents.
